Job description
This is an entry-level Finance Business Partner role which will have a broad set of responsibilities including: Reporting, FP&A and Commercial Finance, with future end-to-end ownership of a multi-million pound cost base. The ideal candidate will confidently assist with maximising revenue and adding value to enhance business decisions and processes. Objectives of the role
- Be accountable for the preparation and compilation of monthly management accounts for designated business units, ensuring readiness for review in conjunction with the Finance Business Partner and Business Unit Directors.
- Cultivate and maintain effective professional relationships with operational and commercial teams, offering financial and commercial expertise as required.
- Conduct comprehensive analyses of contract profitability, identifying and escalating high and low margin contracts for discussion with pertinent operational and commercial management personnel.
- Collaborate in the development and delivery of detailed rolling forecasts and annual budgets, ensuring their readiness for presentation to senior leadership.
Duties
- Ensure the punctual and precise completion of major contracts, maintaining integrity, accuracy, and consistency while providing clear visibility of the financial health of these agreements.
- Oversee the accurate accounting of accrued and deferred income on a monthly basis, ensuring transparent communication to the business regarding non-current debt.
- Provide support to offshore functions, including Record to Report (RTR), Order to Cash (OTC), and Procure to Pay (P2P) processes.
- Foster a close working relationship with OTC teams to ensure accurate and timely billing, efficient payroll reporting, and drive improvements in working capital management.
- Collaborate with the Finance Business Partner to identify value-added opportunities for the organisation.
- Conduct detailed financial analyses and prepare comprehensive presentations of financial information to support informed decision-making processes.
- Develop and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) relevant to business operations and strategic objectives.
- Assist operations teams in managing client contract costs effectively and efficiently.
- Perform in-depth contract profitability analyses, providing valuable insights to Operations regarding potential opportunities and risks.
- Execute ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Senior Finance Business Partner (SFBP).
