Job description

Part-Time Management Accountant

Partnering with a established Property company, to recruit an experienced and detail-oriented Part-Time Management Accountant to join our growing team. This role is a fantastic opportunity for a Management Accountant who is looking to work flexibly while playing a key role in supporting the financial operations of a dynamic group.

  • Location: City of London
  • Hours: 20 hours/week
  • Salary: £40,000 to £45,000 pro rata

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare monthly management accounts, including variance analysis against budget and forecasts.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning across multiple projects and entities.
  • Manage bank accounts and cash flow, producing regular cash flow forecasts to ensure liquidity.
  • Process and oversee group payment runs and monitor accounts payable/receivable activities.
  • Maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts, including monthly bank reconciliations.
  • Work closely with project teams to monitor project costs, margins, and performance against budgets.
  • Conduct supplier credit checks and assist in procurement decision-making.
  • Coordinate VAT and CIS returns in collaboration with external accountants to ensure compliance.
  • Support the preparation of year-end financial statements and liaise with auditors during the audit process.
  • Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting to the senior management team.
  • Attend budget holder and project review meetings to present financial insights and recommendations.

About You:

  • Part-qualified/Finalist (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or qualified by experience.
  • Previous experience in a management accounting role.
  • Strong understanding of cash flow forecasting, financial reporting, and reconciliations.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively across teams.
  • Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with VAT and CIS compliance is an advantage.
