Job description

My client, an industry leader on the outskirts of Weybridge are looking for a progressive Finance Analyst on a full time permanent basis.

Working hours - 37.5 hours a week - Working hybrid Policy - 2 days in the office a week -

Summary

An exciting new role that will be pivotal in supporting the to two commercial internal teams to drive the best pricing structure for all key products across the wider business due to market opportunities, acquisitions, and growth.

A key aspect of the role will be the creation of commercial analyses from a varied range of sources to support business decision-making for both internal and external stakeholders.

We are looking on behalf of our industry leader client for an Analyst with proven skills and a keen eye for detail, deploying automation and standardisation. An initiative-taking individual who wants to work as part of a team, with great commercial acumen, technical capability, and high integrity.

Key Accountabilities

  • Provide analytical support to the Finance Business Partners (FBPs) and Category teams.
  • Deliver a range of product-level analysis to support decision-making for the Category teams and key stakeholders with a structured approach.
  • Analyse opportunities on consolidated spends, while understanding and interpreting complex pricing structures.
  • Develop strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including procurement, Category, and Finance teams.
  • Coordinate and track pricing, analysis, and summarise in a meaningful way to ensure insight and outcomes can be gained from the information.
  • Understand available data sources, how these integrate with each other, and provide a means to bring them together in Excel.
  • Create commercial analyses in a wide range of workstreams supporting business decision-making and providing insight for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to understand and model complex commercial rebate and pricing structures, summarising findings for varying audiences (Finance, Account Management, Procurement, Suppliers, and Clients).
  • Conduct scenario modelling and what-if analysis, delivering dynamic and manipulable summaries to support and expedite business decision and sign-off processes.
  • Deliver proactive ad-hoc financial analysis to support business decision-making.
  • Be visible at business head offices to support operators as and when the business requires.
  • Understand the business commercial model and how procurement deals integrate with it.
  • Monitor and audit own workings and outputs for accuracy and relevance.

Key Skills, Knowledge & Experience
Essential:

  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
  • High numeric and analytical skills and diligence.
  • Comfortable developing and working with complex spreadsheets.
  • Ability to communicate oral and written information concisely and logically.
  • Ability to analyse, evaluate, and present information concisely.

Desirable:

  • Studying towards ACCA/CIMA/ACA
  • Confidence to make recommendations and advise the team.
