Welcome to Consultant Spotlight, a series where we take a closer look at the talented professionals behind Investigo. In each feature, we sit down with one of our consultants to learn more about their background, expertise, and the important role they play within Investigo. To kick things off, we're excited to introduce our first consultant, Sian Prest.
Can you outline your role as a recruiter?
As a Recruiter, I play a key role in attracting, identifying, and securing top talent for organisations across London and support candidates with their job search, helping them to find roles that align with their skills and career goals.
What types of roles/ specific areas or industries do you find yourself recruiting for?
Non and Part-Qualified finance roles across the Professional Services and Technology space in London. The roles I recruit for range from entry-level school leaver/graduate opportunities to senior/experienced Management Accountants and Finance Analysts (and anything in between).
Can you share a success story where you helped a candidate land a role that was a perfect fit for them?
I recently placed an incredibly driven 2024 Economics & Finance Graduate who completed a finance placement year at a Superyacht company in the South of France as part of his university course. When I initially spoke with this candidate, he said he was looking to join a firm with a large finance team that can offer ACA study support and a clear pathway of progression. He’s now working for a leading Consultancy business as an ACA Trainee in a finance team of 22 that can offer incredible internal promotion opportunities over the next few years. The perfect match!
How do you see the future of recruitment evolving in the next few years?
The future of recruitment looks promising and I’m excited to see how the industry will evolve over the next few years. I’m confident that our clients will continue to value our market insights and appreciate our in-depth knowledge of current trends based on the regular conversations we have with both our clients and candidates.
How do you stay current with industry trends and recruitment best practices?
Keeping in regular contact with my network allows me to be ahead of the curve and stay relevant in this market. I use LinkedIn as a platform to share my top candidates, jobs of the week and any new reports we release that will be useful for my connections. Posting frequently on LinkedIn encourages my connections to engage with the content I share and provides them with an opportunity to voice their thoughts and ideas on current industry trends.
